Very informative and not written by professionals using medical terms.
I got this book about 2 hrs ago. Already on chapter 7. Can’t put it down. Easy read. No doctoral from a psychologist. Just a regular guy who been thru a lot and has given me a lot of answers and hope. Everyone should read his book. It’s very interesting and informative. I plan on using his recommendations as it sounds promising

Inspiring, and relatable for people with anxiety
I felt that the book was very inspiring. Specifically the things that are most important (the most important time, person and most important task). Very wise. I would have identified with “our self identity” more if he spoke more about Christ. But that is just a personal preference. I personally think this can help a lot of people. I appreciate how Matt talks about we generate more thoughts by over thinking thus unintentionally create problems for ourselves. Thats very relatable to people who struggle with anxiety. Most if not all the time its unrealistic thinking. I appreciate the effort put into this book, and personally suggest people read it to better themselves for the future. Great job Matt!

Straightforward, easy read, very enlightening
Okay, so hands down, this is probably the best mindfulness book I’ve ever picked up. Seriously, it doesn’t just ramble on about why you should be present or stop overthinking. It actually gives you real-deal steps and little practice exercises to follow along with. So it kind of feels like a friend is guiding you through it, instead of just lecturing you. Totally recommend it if you want something practical and easygoing.

It’s a short and easy-to-read book that teaches you about mindful self-awareness and how to manage thoughts.Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. The way the author uses stories to explain how our thoughts are the cause of our suffering and then gives you examples, ideas, and actionable steps to take to learn how to let passing thoughts come and go and to live in the moment is the best part of the book.Everyone should read this book if they want to be happy and learn to live in the moment. It’s easier said than done but the book gives pretty good guidance on how we can achieve this by letting our thoughts just be and teaches you about how the mind is a powerful thing.Highly recommend this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Even if you have been meditating for years and mostly living mindfully, this book will help you strengthen your resolve to keep living more mindfully.Does this book provide earth-shattering techniques to live more mindfully? Not quite. But the process of living with mindful self-awareness is quite simple. The tips mentioned in the book helped me immensely, although I am not new to meditation. I am going to reread this book at least every three months until the practice becomes permanent for me.Note: Although the author recommends starting slowly with the exercises and building up over time, I was able to jump right into integrating mindful self-awareness into all the tasks I do. This could be because I was already living mindfully for the most part and have been meditating for a long time.
