Great benefits
I tried a few different brands of maca, both powder and capsule. This is still my go to as a daily supplement. First, the price/value of this brand is exceptional, only bettered by the powder form which most people can’t stomach. It’s effectiveness is still noticeable to me even after many months of use. The uplift in mood and energy, while not as noticeable now simply because I’m starting at a higher baseline than when I first used the product, is perhaps the most valuable effect of this herb. The ‘other’ benefit, increased libido, while it shouldn’t be the primary reason for taking maca, is very real for me. I take one capsule in the morning and one at lunch. If I take a third in the evening occasionally that’s the kicker for my libido and it works. I’ve read where one should take a few days off from the herb occasionally to renew its effectiveness. That may be true but it’s so much a part of my daily routine that I don’t bother. Its very important to remember that any herbal supplement is not a magic bullet. It should be part of a regime of good diet, exercise and proper rest. Yes I still have days when I’m tired, sluggish, and foggy-brained, but they are much diminished since I’ve made maca part of my regular diet, and second only to my elimination of much of the bad sugars in my diet the reason for this improvement. This particular brand appears to be the darker (red or black maca) variety, but I don’t know this for sure. The potency is also attested to by the odor when opening the bottle. I haven’t done extensive comparisons with other brands, simply tried a few different ones. This has worked so well that I have no need to change to any others for now. Seller was very good about feedback as well. I highly recommend.

Menopause
Have ordered multiple times now. Great for menopause symptoms. I take in combination with black cohosh and hot flashes are minimal.
