Very Difficult to do Properly
These tests are cheap and useful, but only if the Lab is able to process your sample. I have a background in medicine and follow the instructions exactly, but it seems like over half the time the lab has some excuse as to why they cannot process your sample. If you are willing to wait and risk them having to re-ship you a new test, go for it. Other than that, go elsewhere. Out of 6 tests I have had four come back un-testable.

I realize this kind of testing is not for everyone. I have done kits like this in the past for various tests. Sometimes they can be a little more expensive than what a Dr or lab would charge, but I don’t know about you, even pre-C it was often difficult and a hassle to make appointments with my local lab… having to carve out more than an hour or two of my day waiting there. Post-C is even worse. So sometimes the cost adds up if you consider time, gas, missed work, etc.Anyway… I am familiar with these kits and for me they are convenient. I don’t have any problems pricking myself (the pain is significantly less than a blood draw for sure) nor getting everything together and set up to send out. If you might have issues with any of that then you might want to just stay with Dr/lab. For me the costs have been worth the convenience. I have had some great Drs but also some pretty poor ones and poor experiences so I’d much rather not deal with the hassle of going through all that.Now that being said ALWAYS ALWAYS read ALL the directions first. And then read them again. And then again as you’re going through the steps. It’s not difficult but there is often important steps that can be easy to miss if not careful.**NOTE** Also this test is a bit different from others because you have to test on certain days of your cycle. I kept this test around a few weeks waiting and when I decided to finally open it you need to take blood sample from TWO DIFFERENT days in your cycle. The first being 2-3 days after menstruation, the second around the middle/end of the cycle (depending on your own typical cycle length.) I unfortunately had just had my period not long before opening the kit so had to wait a little while longer before I could actually take the test, and then you have to take again. So there are two cards and all the accessories to do this twice.I have not gotten my results yet, but this test was easy to register and I expect the results will be easy to get. Have to set up an account with Everywell and register the kit which was simple with the included QR code. If you ever use any of their other tests you’ve already got your account ready to go.I’m not trying to conceive but I have PCOS and have had hormone tests quite a lot in my life. When my symptoms start to flair up really bad again I like to see where my hormones are at, so that is why I am using this test. A+ from me for the convenience!

This brand is bomb! They sell everything fertility related, and I learned about this company prior to Amazon, on a infertility board. Their LH & HCG tests work great!As someone who has had many a blood tests over the years for fertility, and who has been to all of the pricy specialists, and tried to conceive for over a decade combined, in my life, this is an outstanding option for women to check the key hormones that answer some important questions about their own overall fertility, and affordable so.If you wish to do this in the comfort of your own home vs. a doctor’s office, which requires a visit first. Or you don’t have the insurance to cover these tests, this is a PHENOMENAL & inexpensive option to get these answers quickly.I’d love to have been introduced to such a test as this years ago, but better late then never. I absolutely recommend this test to my TTC sisters! I’ve had these labs done many times over the years, and I can tell you that they do change throughout a woman’s reproductive lifetime, so I’d recommend them done every year or two, but definitely if you have been trying and have not conceived yet, or are looking to get a glimpse inside your reproductive health at any stage of the game.These numbers are SUPER important! FSH, LH, estradiol, TSH & testosterone are the key to your fertility health. I find it incredible that now this can be done at home! AMAZING!!!! The results come quite quickly & are just as accurate as any reliable lab would be. Take your sample, send it off, no hidden fees, results will be sent shortly. It’s that easy, and no real life doctor’s visit required!Some people don’t live close to a obgyn, or especially a fertility specialist to get these very important numbers. This is a great convenience for them, as well. My former specialist charged us $500 just to speak to me and my husband for a consultation. Everything adds up quickly. This is an awesome, ‘beginner’s’ option.I was always instructed to go on CD2 or 3 of my menstrual cycle to get the most accurate results on these hormone tests, as they change throughout the course of your cycle, so I do still recommend that for perfect results. Take this test on one of those two days.I have zero complaints! The test is beyond convenient, insightful, inexpensive, accurate and easy! If you are reading this now, I have 3 words… GO FOR IT! Missing vital instructions, totally comprised my test
Unfortunately my kit didn’t have an instruction sheet included, so I followed the steps and video on their website provided after the registration step. I wasn’t aware that this test kit should be done on two separate days during a particular period. THERE IS NO MENTIONING OF THIS IN THE BOX or ONLINE. I only noticed something doesn’t look right when I fill in the included form while I was waiting for my blood to dry on the cards, by then it was way too late. I am not going to lie, I was furious.I still received some test results from them but since I didn’t followed the non-existing instructions I don’t know how much I can believe the results?I would have given this a 1 star, but giving 2 stars because their customer service seems to be good.

Pretty simple process
This was a fairly simple way to test without having to go for an office visit. The results took a few days longer than expected but there was a holiday in there. From the day I mailed it in to the time I got the results was thirteen days. It showed me my levels and what range I fell into for each one.The biggest challenge for me was getting enough blood to fill the circles. Even following the instructions about how to prepare for that, it was difficult to get enough but I did.
