Easy to install, great water pressure, looks nice but not sure about the water quality.
Contrary to belief that plastic is cheaper, they use the PEX type plumbing model. It’s plastic tubes with quick connects. It works just like the PEX piping and it’s a clean, easy install. You don’t need a plumber to install it, just make yourself do it. It’s a plug and play system. As for water quality? I have no idea. I bought it becuase Consumer Reports recommended it. They rated it based on smell and taste. Hmmm? I didn’t read that closely. I want it to filter out all the crap so it’s not going into my body. I hope it does that. I haven’t been able to find much online about it. Maybe I will do a water test and see and I can post the results here. We shall see. It’s hard to rate with stars. I mean, it works. The water flow is amazing. There are no leaks. It was easy to install. So I will give it five stars for that reason but that doesn’t mean the water is any good. I mostly wanted to comment because I saw people saying it’s a cheap system. It’s not. It’s using the newest, easiest technology. Seriously, PEX makes it so anyone can plumb their own house now and GE used it so you can install your own water filter and have no leaks, no problems.

Excellent Little System
Surprisingly easy install except for the normal plumbers problem of having to lie on your back pull yourself up with one arm while you reach up in the tight little corners to screw stuff down. If you have to drill through a granite countertop, I strongly recommend calling a countertop company like I did and asking if somebody can come out and drill a hole. Once installed there were no leaks and it worked perfectly. Water is absolutely crystal clear and has no smell or taste. If anything changes I will update my review but right now I am extremely happy.

Genuine under the sink Water filter.
I tied other generic brand, but this one by GE gives much better result, clear and odorless water.

Expensive but good quality for more pure drinking water
We bought these filters after trying a generic which only leaked water profusely. The generics came with no instructions and appeared to be EXACTLY the same in all aspects, yet we couldn’t use them because of the stream of water coming from the seal area.GE filters work like a charm. I just have two concerns:1. For the price, they should come WITH the “food grade silicone grease” which the instruction sheet says is needed around the o-ring before installing. This is a hard to find product and could literally come with the filters in a small, squeezable packet like ketchup. This would really be a nice touch by GE if they could just include it. My 1 hour spent researching this substance, wandering around Home Depot and coming out empty-handed resulted in my calling my Dad, who said to just use Crisco!2. There are absolutely no instructions on the sheet enclosed or on the packaging as to how to RECYCLE these filters. If they’re supposed to be replaced every 6 months, shouldn’t there be a way to recycle them. We have so much plastic waste, and it’d be nice to know where we could drop these off since there are no labels or indicators as to the type of plastic(s) used in their manufacture. Disappointing and not very modern to have no solution for proper disposal. All that said, I’m giving these 4 stars out of 5 as the water tastes great and is filtering out plenty of impurities for our drinking and cooking use in the kitchen. I’ll buy them again in 6 months.

Needed a plumber to install
Arrived quickly packaged well so no damage or missing parts. I had the same type unit already that was leaking so this was to replace one. I bought the same model thinking I could simply change out the heads and filters and be done with it. NOT SO……GE changed the hose sizes and this new unit could not be switched out. As a result, I had to hire a plumber to completely remove the old unit and re-install this new one. It was an expense I didn’t have to have if GE had not changed the hose sizes. Overall, I’m pleased with this new one. The water flows much better. In addition to needing a plumber to change out the units, the filters from my old unit doe not fit this new one. So I lost another $50 there is having to toss two brand new filters. I can’t really complain. The old GE unit came with the house we’ve been in for 13 years so I’m guessing this new unit will last similar and won’t have a problem for another 15 years. Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase and the performance.

Well it’s good and easy to install. The value for money seem okay considering that I bought the faucet from Amazon not sure where else I can I buy these filters. It’s a good buy because I needed them.

These filters seem great at filtering, which is most important, but the flow rate through the pair at 65 psi (our home pressure) is pretty low. Takes 20 to 30 seconds to get a glass of water. Doesn’t sound bad until you do a couple hundred.

Wish it was a little less expensive but it is the filter my system requires. Received the correct order the very next day.
