First off, I love that it’s EWG Verified—it’s reassuring to know that the ingredients are non-toxic and free from harsh chemicals, which is especially important for me since I have sensitive skin. The lavender scent is gentle and natural, not overpowering like some other detergents, so my clothes come out smelling fresh without being too fragrant.As for cleaning power, this detergent does a great job of getting rid of dirt and stains. I’ve used it on everything from regular laundry loads to more stubborn stains, and it works just as well as any mainstream brand I’ve used. Plus, it’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way, which makes it great value for the price.The one downside is that it doesn’t foam up as much as some other detergents, but that’s not a big deal to me. EWG One of the safest detergents!
UPDATE: 2/19/20 So I’ve done a handful of loads of laundry on hot, cold, and warm, extra rinse on and off. I have reactions even with ALL free and clear. After using this on undergarments first, I had no reactions. I did wash the undergarments on hot with extra rinse. I then did work/ school clothes and honestly, they came out fine. I did NOT have any fading. Honestly my clothes feel as so as if I had used fabric softener and I didn’t use it. I only used the detergent and extra rinse on about half the loads. I put dirty socks in with the undergarment load and it took the dirt out of my active 10-year-olds socks. As of now, I am really pleased. I don’t even care about the price because it’s worth it to me. I will update in a few months!So background as to why I chose this detergent after MUCH research. I was diagnosed with an Endocrine autoimmune disease coupled with a pituitary adenoma that I have had since forever I guess, we found it on an MRI. So I do research on most products I use.I began using the EWG website for sunscreen products because my daughter and I are both fair-skinned and I did not want something that was going to soak into our skin to bother my endocrine system anymore or affect my daughter in any way.I started looking into detergent because of undergarments being so close to skin/tight on skin etc… and I to see if I could find something that did not cause me hives. Come to find out the leading baby detergent, recommended for NEWBORNS, is one of the WORST detergents on the market. So I looked up which detergents got an “A rating” and this was one that I could find that didn’t cost $50 or that wasn’t sold in bulk, because I just wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, it leaked, I kind of expected that honestly. So it smelled really good. I don’t know if any of you remember Tide’s Pure Essentials detergent line. They had lemon verbena and white lilac, well this scent reminds me SO much of the white lilac, so on scent alone I am so excited because it smells so good. When I filled the washer I noticed that the liquid detergent was a little thicker, it is 2x concentrated, BUT it still mixed with the water VERY well. I put undergarments, dirty socks specifically, in the first load on hot so I am waiting to see the results. I will update after my laundry is done! I have high hopes, so we will see!
