Great Projector, very bright
Great projector is you want 1080. Super bright. I have a light meter and compared the brightness to my 1500 lumen projector and it was about 2.5-3 times brighter. So pretty close to what I expected. This is manual keystone, not auto like many new projectors, this is a bit of a pain if you put it away and set it up each time but for a more permanent setup this would be perfect. Ultimately, I decided I wanted 4k, I tested the nebula x1, found it to be full of great features but it lacked the brightness needed so went with 4k version of this.

Great option for large rooms
This projector was purchased for a church sanctuary to replace an antiquated 4:3 projector that had been in service many years and was dim. Our screen is a 16:9 widescreen. This projector exceeded our expectations. The projection is very bright, crisp and clear. We paired this with an HDMI dongle and live video played beautifully. Our screen is approximately 100 inches diagonal. I highly recommend in situations such as this.

Did I get sent a used product?
They get one star because it appears to be working But I was sent a box that was damaged and a power supply that was clearly used before and the main unit has scuffs on it. Definitely not the value of the $1400 I paid. I did not buy used.

Picture quality and brightness questionable.
Build quality good but picture was not sharp/crisp. Also brightness appeared to be considerably less than 4200 lumens.

Brightness factor
Good price for short throw projector. Have not dialed in the colors, but the brightness is very good. The photo shows an older BenQ @ 3200 Lumens on the right vs, this Viewsonic. Will be used in fairly lit room

Clear, crisp and bright
Excellent quality picture for a short throw projector. It’s clear, crisp and bright. I’ve used other short throw projectors for events (rear screen), and this one is the best so far. The others were a bit less expensive, but the few extra $$$ is worth it at the end, if you’re looking for a really good projector.
